Who can apply?
JA Alumni from the Americas region (any country in the network) who have participated in the JA Company Program (La Compañía-Miniempresa), are between 18–23 years old, and have not been a COY Influencer before.
Do I need English and specific social media requirements?
Yes: fluency in English (Spanish and Portuguese are a plus) and your own equipment for live coverage (HD smartphone + recording microphone).
How do I apply and what should my video include?
Create a video of up to 1 minute (with audio, editing, and subtitles) choosing one option:
- Share your most meaningful anecdote, experience, or learning from the JA Company Program.
- Explain why you want to be the next COY Influencer.
Upload your video and complete the application form between August 29–September 19, 2025 (personal data, video link, and main question). Follow @jaamericas on Instagram and TikTok.
What are the duties if I’m selected?
Before the event (from Sep 27, 2025): Work with the communications team on the coverage plan, create 3–5 posts (stories, interviews, lives, etc.) to promote COY 2025, encourage engagement, tag @jaamericas, and use #COYInfluencer and #COY2025.
During the event (Rio de Janeiro, Nov 17–20, 2025): Post at least 3 stories per day and at least 2 posts on JA Americas accounts covering highlights, interviews, and behind-the-scenes moments.
After the event: Produce interviews/lives/ping-pongs with winners, capture testimonials, and support closing reports with the JA Americas team.
How is the winner selected?
A jury from JA Americas’ communications team will evaluate quality, appeal, creativity, resources used, English fluency, and potential to collaborate with the COY 2025 team. Top finalists may be invited to a short virtual interview.
When is the winner announced and what’s the prize?
The winner will be announced on September 26, 2025 via JA Americas social media channels.
The prize includes an all-expenses-paid trip to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (Nov 17–20, 2025):
- Round-trip airfare.
- Ground transportation in Brazil.
- Hotel accommodation (shared room).
- All-inclusive meals during the event.
Do I need a passport/visa?
Yes. You must hold a valid passport and, if required, a visa to travel to Brazil. JA Americas is not responsible for issues with travel documents or circumstances preventing participation.
Will I post on my accounts or JA Americas accounts?
You will create content for JA Americas’ accounts (Instagram, YouTube Shorts, TikTok), encouraging followers to interact with @jaamericas and use official hashtags.
Can former COY Influencers apply?
No. One of the requirements is not having been a COY Influencer before.
Who owns the content? Can participants be disqualified?
By participating, you grant JA Americas the right to use content posted during the contest for promotional purposes. JA Americas may disqualify participants who fail to meet requirements or break the rules.
