She's Digital offers 7,500 scholarships for women in technology courses

Registrations are now open for the “She's Digital” program, co-created by Junior Achievement Americas and the innovation lab of the Inter-American Development Bank Group (IDB Lab). The program will provide free technical training for young women in Central America, the Dominican Republic, and Mexico, with the goal of promoting female participation in the knowledge economy.

She's Digital will offer participants the opportunity to develop technical skills in Coding Fundamentals, Web Development, Cloud Computing, and Cybersecurity, along with the possibility of earning certifications in these fields. In addition, the program will train women in life skills and support their transition into the workforce.

The training program is designed for women between the ages of 17 and 30, living in Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Costa Rica, who have completed secondary education at the start of the program and have access to a computer and internet connection to attend the courses.

How can they participate?

The program offers 100% scholarships. To apply, interested women must visit www.jamujerdigital.org and complete the online form. If they meet the requirements, they will be contacted to continue the selection process.

The program aims to support women who are not currently enrolled in higher education and do not have stable formal employment. It also seeks to include women from minority groups such as migrants, displaced individuals, and those belonging to ethnic communities, among others.

She's Digital is also supported by strategic partners such as Caterpillar Foundation, the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), and technology partners like Cisco Networking Academy and AWS.
